Midterm Project Proposals Due Saturday 2/5/11

For Midterm Project I am letting all of you choose your own projects. You must write a PROPOSAL (about a paragraph) telling me what you would like to do. I will approve your project and you may begin to work on it as soon as I approve it. Here is an example of a proposal:

Name: Lisa Barrett

Type of Project: PowerPoint Presentation

Topic: History of Chicago

Description: For my midterm project, I will present interesting facts about the history of Chicago. I will have about 15 slides of information, including pictures and references from websites that I used.

Visual Aid: I will also be creating a poster to hang in the class of the most important information in my presentation.

Please remember that you must do your own work. I will not accept copied information from websites. You must put it into YOUR OWN WORDS. Please, post your proposals to the blog by Saturday 2/5/11.  You may choose to do a presentation, write an essay, do a demonstration, or anything else you might think is interesting. If you have questions, please talk to me.

    Topic: Harley Davidson History
    Description: As my midterm project, I would like to show in few slides how the most popular motorcycles company evolved. I will show the most important facts and pictures of first products from the beginning of this brand.
    Visual Aid: I will make a poster with pictures of motorcycle to show how they had changed through the years.

    Lukasz- I really like this idea! Great job. I can't wait to see your project :)

    Marzena- I am glad you chose scrapbooking. I think it will be a great project and really cool for all of us to see in class. Maybe we'll make a class scrapbook someday :)

    Topic: I didn' decide yet, but probably I will compare book and movie or two movies that portrayed the same topic or maybe I will write about my favorite team- Manchester United.
    Description: I will write minimum 2 pages abut this topic.

    Description: Since I visited an Amish village I started to think do we need all these computers and devices we use every day. Are they necessary for us? Do they really help us or they make our life more complicated? For my midterm project I will write an essay with my thoughts on that topic.
